The interdisciplinary major in African American Studies is designed to assist students in developing knowledge in related disciplines in the social sciences and the humanities in order to gain understanding of the culture, experience, and contemporary situation of the African diaspora. African American students interested in the major should contact the program at 777-7248. The program offers a B.A. in African American Studies and an undergraduate minor.
